The Sunshine State☀️.....Too Much Sun!☀️

What is our destination this week? Kissimmee, Florida! We made our usual overnight stop at Tamarack in Beckley, West Virginia.
The next night our overnight stop was in St. Mary's, Georgia. We made dinner and took a long walk. It is definitely a pretty town.

We drove south to Kissimmee, Florida to deliver the travel trailer and turned right back around to head north! Why? Florida is so incredibly busy and hot, hot, hot!!! 🥵
Some pics from the area:
Here's a short video. I love to walk. I took a walk while John was involved with the delivery process. I didn't want to end my walk, so it was difficult to do the right thing. But anyone who knows me, knows I am a rule-follower. So the outcome is not shocking.
We had a stopover in Kingsland, Georgia on our way to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
We will be staying in Myrtle for five nights. John had an appointment, and we were looking forward to spending time with Rory & Alan. On the way we refueled, refilled propane, washed our truck and camper, bought groceries, and got a Dunkin'.😉
Here are some pics from our drive from Georgia to South Carolina:
We arrived at Myrtle Beach State Park and settled into our site #26. It is not our favorite site at the Park, but it is what they had available for a 5-night stretch. We have history in this Park. When we lived in Myrtle Beach, we had a State Park Pass. We came here most Friday nights for Date Night. We, of course, also came on other occassions. They have a great bike path, hiking trails, a gorgeous stretch of oceanfront, and a beautiful campground, not to mention the people are so nice. We were happy to arrive! We took a long walk, made dinner, and streamed a show.

John and I got some things done in the truck and camper in the morning. Rory and Alan came for the afternoon. We had lunch at the picnic table and then ventured out - - We walked some paths, walked the pier, and visited the Nature Center.

The next day John and I took what we call a "Down Day." We made sure not to schedule anything and did whatever we wanted in that moment.
The following day we went to see my coworkers from the job I had in Myrtle. So good to see my Nelson's family! Then we went to see Mike - he was my Mom's gentleman friend. We visited him whenever we were in Myrtle and we regularly sent him postcards from the road. Unfortunately, at the time of this writing, he has since passed away. We remember him fondly. God Bless, Mike. 🪽
We went to our 10 x 10 storage unit that we rent. We brought some things we do not currently need and picked up some things we do!
John had a surgical dermatology appointment the next day. Afterward we met with our accountant for our taxes. It is always a pleasure to see our accountant, Steve. So thankful for him.
We met Rory and Alan at El Patio Mexican Restaurant before we said our goodbyes to them.

We went back to our camper at Myrtle Beach State Park for our last night. We watched a few episodes of Living Large Camping on You Tube before preparing for bed.
The next day we headed out, stopping to clean our camper mat (sand!) and rinse the truck and camper. We are now going to head in the direction of Indiana to obtain another transport load. We stopped at a laundromat and then landed for the night among the oaks and hickories at Pilot Mountain State Park in Pinnacle, North Carolina.

PARKING HACK: There was a branch in our way when backing into site #11, so we zip-tied the branch to the trunk of the tree, releasing the branch the next day when we departed.
Still headed to Indiana, our next stopover was in New Paris, Ohio. We stayed at The Cedar Coffee (a participant of Harvest Host). We enjoyed a couple breakfast goodies in exchange for a safe place to park for the night. They have a very unique set up, so I must share it! They have a long nature path that leads from where you overnight park to The Cedar Coffee. The nature path was adorned with jug lights (see pic). It went past the Jocqueway Creek. It was quite enchanting!

We drove from New Paris to Goshen, Indiana to await another transport opportunity. Here are some pics from that drive:

Where are we going from here? That was always a surprise to us! John would look at the load board and choose the best transport opportunity. He took into consideration the weight of the travel trailer, the price he would earn per mile, and, of course, the destination. We tried to confirm weather conditions prior to accepting any load.
So where are we headed next? Stay tuned!

Very nicely done. Really enjoy all the pictures you share. It is like l am going for the ride with you !
